The aim of VIS is:
… to advise educators, provide them with further education opportunities, and support them in their activities.
… to promote holistic education and upbringing of children, adolescents, and adults and to improve their living and learning conditions (school);
… to apply, test, and further develop insights and methods from pedagogy and psychology and to assess their significance for societal developments.
